All Well in Noneyland

The SANE noney holdout was none other than Spectacles Ryan Blewett (featured on the 9ph bill), and his suit was finally withdrawn after a huge settlement was agreed upon. Payout (in shrimp) is scheduled to take place over several years. Still not sure whether I can get the prints pronted by Tuesday, but will make a half-assed attempt. If anyone sees the other half o' my ass, please call me ASSAP.

Next meeting Tuesday 7 Nov 2006

I've had an injunction slapped on me to prevent the distribution of certain noney bills which are said to feature a likeness of a person against his/her wishes, and will not be able to print and/or distribute the entire collection until the matter comes up in court, currently slated for late November, unless a settlement can be reached. How can I make enough noney to pay for a settlement/judgment unless I can make some noney? Pending the outcome, I will have SANE none by the Winter Solstice dinner.

The next meeting is around the corner - this Tuesday at 7pm [the place is as yet undecided - probably either Pam A's or Richard's]. Pam P is shepherding us through the creation of folded books, or "meander books," artwork done on a single piece of paper, in a particular order and orientation, which is then cut and craftily folded into a single narrative. With the addition of front and back covers, we're done. We'd done something similar about 80 years ago, but the pattern of the cut and fold was a bit different.

Unless Pam alerts us otherwise, we're to bring paper (I imagine any size paper will work, but certainly 8.5x11 is fine), and some form of cutting implement (scissors or knife). I dunno exactly what we'll fill the pages of the book with - pictures, text, collage, stampage, a mishmosh of any/all? I think Pam was going to bring material for the covers, but honestly, I'm in the dark. Story of my life.

Whilst we work, I reckon Molly can regale us with tales of Tibetan toilets and Betsey can fill us in on Italy and its environs, so the rest of us stay-at-homers can live vicariously through their world travels. I went to the Cape for an afternoon, but that's pretty much all I have to say about it, thank you very much.

And also at the meeting we'll work on the fine details of the Winter Solstice Dinner, and whether it will be pot luck (and if so, what everybody's bringing) or take-out (and from where/when). [Just spitballing here, my preference would be take-out, where: Bermuda, when: from a 1960s pre-McDonald's drive-in. Perhaps I'm still a little muddy on the details.]

But the dinner is currently slated for Tuesday, 5 December. Details to be decided, by gum.

Here are the bills as of yesterday's meeting - take a look and see if there's anything you'd like to change (on your bill), and let me know - if you'd like a bigger copy to review, e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

Click on the images below to see a bigger version (still not the full-blown resolution) - and if you see gibberish, try hitting the "refresh" button on your browser - and it should display correctly the second time around.
