Bring paper, and, you know, ink. And to embellish after, you can bring some other things to doodle around the ink to make into a picture.

SANE Meeting Tues 7 Feb 2012

Yo, I'm missing a good year here so far. Happily, Pam A had the presence of mind to remind my mind of our upcoming meeting, and even suggested a project which looks like presents of mine: Exploding (or explosion) boxes. No, Scuzi, that doesn't involve M-80s or C-4, it just falls apart in an "exploded" view when you remove the top. Try Googling "exploding|explosion boxes" or check out a few of these links:

Pam has all the supplies, although you should probably bring a lot of gewgaws and doodads & sech, to put your own particular stamp on it. And she's willing to be yet again the hostess with the mostest, so gawd bless.

Bring: ? paper, cutting tools, acetylene torch, misc artifacts, ribbons, beaus, hartz, flours.

I have been remiss in my reportage of late: I sent out the smallish compiled calendar, which is a cute size and all, and I will have some paper versions in living color to hand out, but if you want to blow it up all big, you'll need something... like an exploding box! Or a PhotoShop file insteader the Adobe one. So let me know. But for them what wasn't at the meeting, it was largely a gabfest peppered with frequent generally obscene phrases purportedly containing the letters for a month. One of our number proposed the strategem that not only should the entire phrase make some sense, and the month be correctly and sequentially spelled, but also the remainder of the non-month letters should also make some sense once the month has been distilled out. We leave this as an exercise for them what wasn't there (since them that was are all tuckered out from trying):

Example: MAN RUN CHILL = MARCH + NUN ILL

Then, I had said absotootly nothing about our Winter Solstice Dinner, which was a complete and utter success (with the exception of them few what didn't come, who were sorely missed), and 'twas quite yummy and convivial and we managed amongst ourselves to keep entertained. Kudos to Mary and Phil for being hostages, congratulations to Flip for finding a parking space, and congrats to Mary for remembering to bring all the leave-over pans & containers to the JUST ANOTHER NOCTURNAL QUERY meeting.

SANE Calendar 2012

A quick note to all who've been waiting for a calendar in order to navigate the confusion of this march of days, this one day at a time, this time marches on, this timey-wimey confusion.
Well, wait no longer. The SANE Calendar 2012 is here, and it is a doozy.

Tenderly written by the SANE attendees at the last meeting, whenever that was, and delicately laid out by, oh, I don't know, Satan?, is attached as a .pdf. I have versions printed on nice thick shiny paper, but if you want thicker stock, be my guest. Stock it to you.

Note that I've included a substitute December for the squeamish, or folks who may wish to display this in actual public. And August was missing a second U, so I vamped. Holidays mostly courtesy of Depositphotos.com, with a few outright thefts from the web. I gave credit to Larry and the Jags. There are 3 cover options. The Photoshop files are available for them who want to make it bigger.
This version is definitely only smallworthy. It's small for a purpose. Very small for a porpoise. Didn't want to kill too many trees, or tunas.
