We're meeting at Pam A's for a change

There's been a change in venue for the 9 January 2007 Meeting - it's at Pam A's (for a change).

At Pam A's abode
Betsey thinks that if we're working with material as thin as soda can metal, we won't require really heavy-duty tools and savage pounding. Betsey suggests that as a "backer" material for any pounding with tools on your metal (adding relief, bumps, knocking holes, etc.), it would be sufficient to have something like a paperback book (preferably one you don't need to read again) as something to rest your workpiece on, and a light "tack hammer" to hammer with. I'm a little hinky about hammering on the leaf of a dining room table, even with a paperback book as a backer, so when we get around to hammering, we might want to step outside to the porch and hammer there, on concrete or something.
I don't plan to hammer a whole lot, anyway. You?
If you're not clear about this whole gig, e-mail or phone Betsey, and she'll be glad to 'splain it to you, I betcha.
