Did I mention that the meeting is at Pam A's? Well, it is. Thanks, Pam!
I don't know for absolutely sure, but I have seen signs of Girl Scout cookies in the world recently, so it's entirely possible that Megan will have the cookies several of us ordered at the last meeting. So remember to bring cash moneys (?$4 per box, I dimly remember?) to consummate the deal. FYI: it's not really made from Girl Scouts, they just sell them.

Salvation Army - 20 5-card packets:
Between Pam A and Leslie, it appears we have a lot of crayons (at least a brand-new four-pack for each of the packets), and Leslie has enough paper and envelopes for the SA packets.
Leslie reports: "I will be on the hook for the plastic ziplock bags.
I bought a bunch of foam flowers @ Target so kids can affix (martha stewart language) or stick them to their cards. Pam A., just wanted to let you know so you would not have to crank out the flowers. (We were talking about adding stuff for Mother's Day cards in the Salvation Army packets.)"
Mary is bringing: "paper, blank books, canvas paper, some fabric, glass beads and anything else I can clean out of my closet. I'll also bring a roto-trimmer to cut down whatever needs cutting down."
I presume between the rest of us we can come up with colored/construction paper, in sufficient quantities to embellish these cards. Images, preprinted or stamped (at the meeting or before) with ?birthday-appropriate (and/or Mama Day) imagery is good, too.
? How about glue-on or stick-on gew-gaws and doo-dads?
If we're including paper and other items to add to the cards, do we need glue sticks? Anybody know about smallish packets or sticks of glue to include?
Richard will be working on a brief and not-very-specific "how-to" - if you have thoughts/suggestions, lemme know.

Veterans Administration - collections of art supplies
We have "a lot" more 4-packs of crayons, as well as various assorted crayons/colored pencils, per Leslie and Pam A. I presume that as we all clean out our various hovels and uncover our piles, we'll be able to amass some fairly impressive quantities of surplus stuff.
What about boxes? If you're bringing stuff, consider carrying them inside boxes - at the meeting we can empty the boxes of randomly assorted stuff and reassemble (resize if necessary) like things into the same box, and it will look nearly almost organized kinda. I presume all kinds/sizes of boxes are appropriate, up to "case of paper" size (TV/monitor/computer size might be too large??) Smaller boxes for collections of smaller things?
See you all at the meeting!
Richard
